Stage 3 Students Brave the Cold for Winter Sleepout

Last Friday, 60 Stage 3 students participated in an impactful Winter Sleepout as part of the Winter Appeal. It was an incredible turnout, and the night was dedicated to prayer, reflection, and creating care packs for those experiencing hardship. These essential packs will be distributed to individuals in need via the St Vincent de Paul Night Patrol Van.

A huge thank you goes out to all the parent volunteers who dedicated their time and effort to assist throughout the night. It was a truly special and memorable experience for the students involved.

A Resounding Success: Our Winter Appeal and Sacred Heart Mass

We want to extend a huge thank you to our entire school community for your incredible generosity during the Winter Appeal. The sheer volume of donations we collected truly astounded the local St Vincent de Paul chapter, and they were incredibly appreciative of everyone's efforts.

Your contributions will make a significant difference to those in need. Additionally, we're grateful to all the parents and parishioners who joined us for the Sacred Heart Mass.

The students showed great reverence throughout the service, and their participation in wearing pyjamas added a unique and meaningful layer to the day. It was a wonderful way for them to reflect on and appreciate the blessings they have.

Looking Ahead to a Busy Term 3

Term 3 is shaping up to be a busy one, so please check the school calendar regularly! We have several significant events planned. Our Year 3 students will be celebrating their First Holy Communion, and Year 6 will begin their preparations for the Religious Education Test. There will also be a number of whole school Masses.

As always, we warmly invite parents to attend these events whenever possible. We love welcoming you into our liturgical celebrations and sharing these special moments with our school community.

Appreciation for a Wonderful Term 2

I'd like to personally extend my sincere thanks to all of you for a fantastic Term 2. It's been a wonderful reminder to always keep our faith at the heart of everything we do here at Our Lady Star of the Sea.

I eagerly anticipate what the next two terms will bring. In the meantime, please stay safe and enjoy the much-needed school holidays!

Yours in Faith
