Learning and Teaching

Semester One Reports.

Your child’s report is now available via Compass.

These reports are an important part of how we communicate your child’s learning progress, achievements and areas for growth.

Our teachers have dedicated significant time and care to ensure each report provides an accurate reflection of your child’s learning journey. Through moderation, collaboration and in depth data analysis, your child’s report provides a clear picture of where they are currently achieving in relation to the Victorian Curriculum.

You may notice some changes, particularly in the English learning area, as the updated Victorian Curriculum Version 2.0 is being implemented. Please be assured that we continue to cross-reference and align our teaching and assessment practices with the revised curriculum expectations to ensure your child’s report accurately reflects their learning progress.

We encourage you to read through the report with your child, celebrating the growth they’ve made and discussing the next steps in their learning journey.

If you have any questions about your child’s report, please do not hesitate to reach out to their classroom teacher.

Year 1

Inquiry- The history of Echuca/Moama

We have been learning about the many changes which have occurred in Echuca/Moama over the years. We looked at St Mary’s Primary School, The Library, St Mary’s Church and the bridges. We noticed many had changed over time and relocated due to space limitations. Learners gathered the information they had created and presented this to the Preps with their partners. They thoroughly enjoyed sharing their knowledge.

Year 6

Recommissioning of FIRE Carriers – A Special Liturgy for Year 5 & 6

This week, our Year 5 and 6 students gathered for a special liturgy to mark the recommissioning of our FIRE Carriers. This was a meaningful occasion for our current FIRE Carriers, who have committed to continuing their role in promoting understanding, respect, and reconciliation within our school community. The timing was especially significant as we prepare to celebrate NAIDOC Week next week, honouring the rich history, culture and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. We are proud of our FIRE Carriers for their leadership and dedication to keeping the flame of reconciliation burning brightly.

Interschool and Campaspe Sports

Our interschool sports teams have had an outstanding start to the rounds so far! Our football team remains undefeated, demonstrating great teamwork and determination each week. Our netball teams have also notched up plenty of wins and continue to play with fantastic spirit and sportsmanship. Handball and soccer teams are also performing strongly and are still managing to get themselves on the winners list. With just two weeks of competition remaining, we look forward to seeing our students finish the \season on a high and hopefully cheer some teams into the finals in Term 3. We also finished the Campaspe netball and football tournament on a high earlier this term with our girls and boys A teams taking out the win! Well done to all our players and coaches for their efforts and commitment this term!
