Supporting Students with Sensory Needs

At our school, we understand that some students have sensory needs which may impact how they learn and engage in the classroom. For these students, teachers may provide sensory tools such as fidget items, calming cushions, or movement breaks. These strategies help students regulate their emotions, stay focused, and feel comfortable at school.

We kindly ask that families do not send sensory items from home unless this has been discussed with your child’s teacher. Personal items can easily be lost, used by other students, or even create more dysregulation. Our staff are equipped to provide and manage the appropriate supports so that all students can benefit.

If you believe your child may require sensory support, please contact their teacher to discuss the best strategies for them.
