Year 6 News

Dear Families,

In Year 6, we have been captivated by the novel ‘The One and Only Ivan’. Many of the students who might not enjoy reading found it to be a great book. If you are looking for some books to get your child interested in reading, you can purchase ‘The One and Only Bob’ ‘The One and Only Stella’ and ‘The One and Only Family’ can be purchased online.

Week 1, our Year 6 students dove headfirst into their swimming program and wow, did they make a splash! From perfecting their strokes to building confidence in the deep end, they were truly fin-tastic.

Our Year 5 & 6 camp will be held from 15 - 17 October (Term 2, Week 2). The maximum number of students that can attend the camp is 180.  Once we receive 180 Expressions of Interest (EOI) we will no longer be able to take any additional students and no late EOI's can be accepted. Your $50.00 deposit will secure your child's place in our 2025 camp. The total cost of the camp will be $440. The EOI payment of $50.00 is due on 22 August 2025 with the remaining balance of $390 due by 24 September 2025. Details on Compass.

Congratulations to those students who received excellence certificates in the past few weeks, do not underestimate the importance your actions can have on everyone else at the school, and value your role as a leader.
