Year 5 News

Dear Families,
Hope you all had an amazing Term 2 holidays and welcome back to a new Term 3.
The grade 5’s have been settling back to school life whilst engaging in some different programs including the swimming program in week 1, Love Your Locals starting this term and Peer Mediators. Congratulations to all those Year 5’s partaking in these programs.
In English we have been starting a new unit on debating where students are learning how to structure their opinions and reasons. In Math we have been moving into our multiplication unit and in Investigations we have been exploring sustainability and sustainable practices. Finally in Wellbeing we are exploring the themes of gratitude and what it means to be grateful.
A reminder that there will be a whole school assembly this Friday in the Gym at the start of the day in session 1 for families to attend. We are looking forward to the rest of Term 3 and all the amazing activities to come.
The Year 5 Team,
Anne Louise Kiteley, Caitlin Alagona, Josh Mifsud, Steph Marangos, Lucy Cameron
