Year 4 News

Dear Families,

Welcome to Term 3!

We can’t believe we are already half way through the year! It has been a fun start to our term with our year 4 swimming program. The year 4 swimmers have been learning about water safety and working on their swimming skills.

We an amazing end to term 2 we had with year 3/4 camp. Our students on camp used their bravery and teamwork strengths when challenging themselves to have a go at all the different activities. Our non campers demonstrated their love of learning and creativity strengths when researching their interests and making passion projects.

This term in English we have started our novel study of the book ‘Wonder’ by R J Palacio. The year 4 students have loved exploring this book and have been developing their analysing skills when examining the book. In Maths we have been exploring and building our knowledge of fractions, angles and shapes. As well as continuing to build our understanding of problem solving. In Investigations we have started our geography unit, researching Australia and our neighbouring countries. In Wellbeing we have been discussing gratitude and talking about everything we are grateful for.

It has been a fantastic start to the term and we are so excited for all the learning ahead of us this term!
