Beyond the Classroom

4Cs: Cultivating Creative Cultures with Communities

This amazing student-led performance program brings together local secondary students in Years 7-12 to plan, create and perform in a stunning showcase.

This year, the 4C’s (Cultivating Creative Cultures with Communities) celebrates its 19th showcase event. The initiative engages students from diverse backgrounds and gives them the opportunity to celebrate their heritage and culture in a student-led project.

This special event is hosted at the Bunjil Place Theatre in Narre Warren over four nights in September.

Students from schools across the South-East and North-West of Melbourne take part in 4 nights of performances and represent many cultural backgrounds. Among the prominent cultural groups in the student cohort include Māori and Pacific Islander, Indian, and Middle Eastern communities.

Our fantastic 4Cs Dancers will be performing on Monday, 15th September at 5:45pm.

Our dedicated and talented students will be performing three separate traditional dances from Samoa, India and the Cook Islands and have been working together every day, under the guidance of Ms Sindy Scott and Ms Jagjit Kaur.

We are looking forward to this incredible event.

Represent your House: Every point counts!

Last year, we proudly renamed our four College Houses in honour of influential Indigenous athletes who have not only excelled in their sports but also made meaningful contributions to their communities. Our Houses are named after basketballer Patty Mills (Green), tennis champion Ash Barty (red), Olympic icon Cathy Freeman (yellow), and AFL star Eddie Betts (blue).

House points are awarded for participation in Whole School Athletics and Swimming Carnivals, InterSchool Sport, school attendance, Daily Bulletin challenges, writing newsletter articles, club involvement, community and environmental contributions, SOAR awards, Attitude and Effort awards, Green Chronicle raffle and teacher nominations for outstanding effort.

The current tally is shown below, but with more points still to be added from July, the leaderboard could change!

Keep an eye on the Daily Student Bulletin to find out how you can contribute to your House and help lead it to victory by the end of the year.
