Student Health & Wellbeing

Health Pop Ups in the Library with our Adolescent Health Nurse & Wellbeing team
Every Tuesday at recess in the library, our Wellbeing Team hosts ‘Health Pop-Up’ sessions, tackling important topics that matter to teens - from online safety and energy drinks, to men’s health and, for the final session of the term, the dangers of vaping. All students are welcome to drop in and learn more at these fantastic and extremely informative sessions.
Wellbeing Study Skills Sessions Drop in - Fridays at lunchtime for all students
All students are welcome to drop into B7 every Friday at lunchtime for a relaxed and supportive Wellbeing Study Skills session. Whether you need help managing your workload, improving your study habits, or just want a quiet space to refocus, these sessions are open to students of all year levels. There is no need to book, just drop in!
Study Smart: Year 11 & 12 Study Skills Sessions
Our Wellbeing team are also offering dedicated Study Skills Sessions for Year 11 and 12 students. These are held during Period 1 on Thursdays and Period 5 on Fridays in the Study Area.
These sessions are a great opportunity for students to get help with developing effective study habits, managing their time, staying organised and supporting their wellbeing by reducing stress and building confidence in their learning.
Mindful Knitting Group
Students, come along to B5 on Mondays at lunchtime to our Wellbeing team's Mindful Knitting Group. You don't have to know how to knit, as they will teach you and all tools and materials will be provided. A great way to calm the mind and practice mindfulness with intentional crafting.
Doctors in Secondary Schools Program
Every Tuesday during term time, Dr. Patrick Halton and Nurse Em visit the College to provide primary health care for all our students. This service is free of charge, and students can consult with the doctor or nurse about any health concerns they would typically address with a GP or nurse in the community.
To book an appointment with the doctor and/or nurse:
- Click the star icon at the top of your Compass homepage.
- Select "Book Appointment with Doctors in Secondary Schools" from the drop down menu.
- Submit the form.
- You will be notified of your appointment time on the next Tuesday that appointments are available.
