Senior Athletics

Last Wednesday, our annual House Athletics Carnival brought energy, competition, and outstanding performances across all year levels. Students gave their all on the track and in the field, making it a memorable day for the entire school community.
After a series of impressive efforts and strong team spirit, Johnston House emerged as overall champions. They were followed by Coghlan House in second place, Herrald House in third, and Wightman House in fourth. Congratulations to all houses for their enthusiasm and participation throughout the day.
Several individual performances stood out and deserve special recognition. Patrick O’Malley set a new school record in the Year 9 Boys Discus with a remarkable throw of 17.9 metres. In the field events, Torah Shannon delivered an exceptional performance in the Year 11 Girls Triple Jump, breaking the school record with a jump of 7.92 metres. Another highlight came from Heidi Jarvis, who cleared 111 cm in the Year 10 Girls High Jump, showcasing excellent technique and determination.
We also celebrate our Age Champions, who demonstrated consistency and excellence across multiple events:
- Year 9 Girls: Elise Gilliam
- Year 9 Boys: Schott Botha
- Year 10 Girls: Heidi Jarvis
- Year 10 Boys: Hadden Davies
- Year 11 Girls: Torah Shannon
- Year 11 Boys: Lennox Morehouse
- Year 12 Girls: Samarah Johnston
Year 12 Boys: Ewan McCarthy
Congratulations to all competitors, record-breakers, and champions for making the day such a success. Your effort, sportsmanship, and house pride were on full display, and we look forward to another fantastic carnival next year.
