Welfare & Learning Diversity......

April is Autism Awareness Month, a time for our school community to celebrate neurodiversity and recognise the many ways children learn, grow and thrive. Guided by our Catholic faith, we believe every child is created by God and deserves to feel known, valued and supported.

This year’s theme, “Learn Together, Grow Together,” encourages us to build understanding and take positive steps together as a community.

At our school, our classrooms are thoughtfully designed to support neurodivergent students. Predictable routines, flexible learning spaces and responsive teaching help children feel safe, confident and ready to learn in ways that work best for them.

By encouraging kindness, empathy and respectful communication, we help students appreciate different ways of thinking, learning and being. These values support all children to develop confidence, compassion and a sense of belonging.

During Autism Awareness Month, we invite families and students to learn alongside us, listen to autistic voices and celebrate the strengths that make our school community such a special place to be.
