Principals Report

Dear Parents, Caregivers, and Students,
As we progress through what has already been a busy and productive term, I’d like to take a moment to reflect on some of the highlights and important events that have taken place at our school.
This week, we were excited to induct the 2025 Student Representative Council (SRC). Congratulations to all of the students who were elected to this important role! Their leadership and dedication will be invaluable throughout the year. I would also like to extend my heartfelt thanks to all the parents who attended our ceremony on Wednesday to support their children. Your presence is greatly appreciated.
Our junior students in Years 7-9 have been busy with their PAT testing this week. These assessments give us a baseline measure, allowing us to track each student's growth and academic progress throughout 2025. The data we gather will be crucial in providing tailored support for every student as we strive for continuous improvement.
Additionally, we have had a group of students out on work placements within our community. I would like to take this opportunity to sincerely thank the businesses and individuals who have partnered with us to provide these valuable experiences. These placements help our students develop critical workplace skills and gain insight into different industries. We are incredibly grateful for your support in helping them grow.
As we continue to maintain high standards at school, I would like to remind all families about the importance of our uniform policy. If your child requires any support in accessing learning opportunities or is facing any barriers regarding uniform or extra curricular activities, please do not hesitate to contact the front office. We are here to help and support all our students.
Additionally, a quick reminder that school photos will be held on the 5th of March. All students will need to be in full school uniform on this day for their photos.
I would also like to invite Year 7 students and their families to our Year 7 Welcome BBQ on 5th March at 5:00 pm. This will be a wonderful opportunity for new students and their families to meet staff, connect with one another, and become more familiar with our school community.
Looking ahead, NAPLAN will be taking place on March 12th and 13th. Please make sure that your child’s laptop is fully charged and ready to go on these days to ensure they are well-prepared for the assessments.
I would also like to inform you that I will be relieving as Principal until we receive further updates. I appreciate your understanding and continued support of our school and leadership during this time.
It has truly been an amazing start to the year, and I am excited for what the rest of the term will bring. Thank you for your ongoing support and for being an integral part of our school community.
