Upper Primary (Years 5-6)

Upper Primary have started our Phonics program and students have been busy learning letter sounds, reading and writing words. This Term our Inquiry topic is Our City within our State. Students have been exploring their local community and where it fits within Melbourne. We have also been exploring natural and man-made structures.

Lower Secondary (Years 7-8)

The 7/8 are learning about Australia and its natural landmarks. As a class we are reading a book titled “Are We There Yet?”. Students are then exploring places the family visited in the book and identifying the natural landmarks at those locations. 

This week we explored the Flinders Ranges in South Australia. Students filled out fact sheets and created a digital book. Each page will be about a new landmark in Australia.
