Week 3 Round-Up

It was great to see so many Year 8 families at the Information Evening last week and to meet those who could attend. We appreciate your time and hope you found it valuable to connect with your child’s Pastoral Mentor and subject teachers. Please do not hesitate to reach out if you have any further questions following the evening.

YEAR 8 KEY INFORMATION: WEEK 4

Uniform Schedule

SOCIAL AND EMOTIONAL LEARNING (SEL):

This week, Year 8 students will take part in their first Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) lesson, following the Positive Education Enhanced Curriculum (PEEC). PEEC is designed to support student well-being and personal growth. Our first lesson comes from the Positive Relationships domain, which aligns perfectly with our Year 8 theme for 2025 – Building Connections. We look forward to guiding students in strengthening their relationships and developing important social skills throughout the year.

ORGANISATION AND STUDY HABITS:

As students settle into Year 8, now is a great time to check in on their organisation and study habits. Encouraging them to use their school diary to record homework, assessments, and important dates will help them stay on track throughout the term. Simple habits like packing their bag the night before and having a dedicated study space at home can significantly reduce stress and remain prepared for the school day. If your child finds it challenging to keep up with their workload or needs help managing their time, their Pastoral Mentor or subject teachers are always happy to assist.
