Seesaw for Families

Welcome to our Digital Portfolio App – Seesaw! The Learning Journal is where your child’s learning comes to life. Families can engage by liking and commenting on their child's work.

Liking a post shows your child that you’re proud of their effort and progress. To like a post, tap the heart at the bottom.

We also encourage families to leave positive, growth-focused comments. Highlight your child’s hard work, creativity, capabilities and perseverance. It’s a powerful way to celebrate achievements while also supporting their next steps in learning.

To comment:

Tap ‘Comment’ at the bottom of the post.

Type your message and tap the blue ‘Post’ button.

Or, record your voice by clicking the microphone.

Your support helps celebrate achievements and encourages further growth in your child’s learning journey!

Learning to Learn

In the PYP, the first few weeks are focused on ‘learning to learn,’ helping students develop the skills to think critically, manage their learning, and embrace challenges. Focusing on how they learn best empowers them to be confident, independent learners.

Building strong, supportive learning communities is key to this process. When students feel safe, respected, and supported, they are more likely to take risks and collaborate. A positive environment encourages curiosity, resilience, and the belief that mistakes are opportunities for growth.

Now that our learning communities have a solid foundation, students are ready to dive into their new units of inquiry. Updates to the curriculum focus will be shared on Seesaw soon, so families can stay informed and involved in their child’s learning journey.
