Faith is the cornerstone of any thriving community. It’s the belief and trust that good things are ahead, even when we can’t see how they will unfold. At the start of each school year, teachers place faith in the promise of a year filled with growth and positive experiences, drawing on lessons learned from the year before. Similarly, students place trust in their teachers, knowing they will be supported throughout their learning journey. As a Christian community, we find our ultimate faith and trust in Jesus, whose salvation offers us the hope that great things are always possible.
A moment from yesterday’s Swimming Carnival offers an example of faith in action. The photo of the boys building their domino wall serves as a reminder. They carefully set up each block, hoping that one would topple the next. Though the plan didn’t go exactly as expected, their belief that the chain reaction would succeed remained strong. In the end, with perseverance, all the blocks eventually fell.

The House spirit was strong during the Year 7-12 Swimming Carnival at Werribee Outdoor Pool! Students came dressed in bright colours and were ready to make a splash to make their House proud. We will be announcing the house who won and the male and female champion swimmers at the upcoming Secondary School Assembly. Well done to all involved in the day.
As part of our ongoing partnership with Elevate Education in the delivery of our study skills program for Years 10-12, we have access to a series of online webinars for parents.
During Term 1 there are four webinars that parents are invited to join.
Please refer to the flyer on how to register for these webinars.

Congratulations to all of our student leaders who were presented with their badges for 2025 at recent Primary Years and Secondary Years assemblies.
GNLC supports a large number of students in developing leadership skills. Our three key areas of student leadership are:
All groups of student leaders have already started working together in their various areas of responsibility. We are excited for the ideas which they are bringing to the table for the year ahead.

The much-anticipated Year 7 Camp is next week! Running from Wednesday 26 February, to Friday 28 February. A reminder that students must arrive at school by 8.00 am on Wednesday to ensure a prompt departure.
Students must bring their own packed lunch for the first day, as we will be travelling and lunch will not be provided upon arrival. Any medication your child requires must be packed in a clear zip-lock bag, clearly labelled with their name, medication details, and dosage instructions. Please note that large suitcases are not allowed. Each student should bring one backpack for the day and a separate bag for their clothes.
A packing list has been attached—please check that your child has all necessary items. Additionally, all dietary requirements must have been submitted via Signmee and uploaded to the Summit portal to ensure we can cater for all students.
We’re looking forward to an exciting and memorable experience with our Year 7s!

This year, we’ve made some exciting changes to the uniform policy. There is no longer a separate summer or winter uniform—students can wear any combination of GNLC uniforms throughout the year. However, for formal events, the official formal uniform is required.
PLEASE NOTE: Formal Uniform (Blazer & Tie) is required each Monday and each Friday (for Chapel & Assembies) on these daysThank you to our College Captains, Gracy Singh and Milan Gurung, for helping explain the formal uniform in the video below.
