Principal's News

We acknowledge the Taungurung people, the traditional custodians of this land and we pay our respect to their elders past, present and emerging.

Dear Parents,

As you read this, I am away on camp in Canberra with our Year 5-6 students and dedicated staff.  It is a fabulous experience for the children with a first-hand look at the work of government, political parties, voting and a highlight a visit to the War Memorial, Questacon and the Australian Institute of Sport.  A very big thank you to the staff who have organised camp and who are away with the children, leaving their own families at home.  Thank you to: Louise Frewen, Linc McKernan, Nic Asquith, Grace Ivill, Keira Bodycoat and Fiona Robinson.  I know the children and families will thank you too.

A reminder if your child is away to please let us know via the Simon Everywhere App or by phoning the school office.  If you haven't made contact you will receive a text message from the school office.  All school's are required to do this to ensure children's safety.

Lego Lunchtime Club has started and is very popular!  The children meet each week on Thursday at lunchtime with Mrs Timperley and spend time chatting, building and creating with Lego.

Congratulations to our swimmers who competed in the District Swimming Sports at the Euroa Pool last Thursday.  To everyone who tried their best and to those who made it to the next level, well done.  You should be proud of your efforts.  Great organising by Mr McKernan and support from Keira and Lisa Crowe.  It was lovely to see families at the pool supporting children.   Next stage is Division Sports in Seymour.

From Week 6 the Foundation children will be at school full time.

At St John's we have a Casserole Bank for any families who may need a helping hand with a meal.  If anyone is able to help, please ask Bek in the office for a takeaway container to put it in.  We then store them in the freezer and distribute as needed.

In regard to the email sent home to families last week.  We have a pupil free day on Thursday 13th March.  Again, my apologies for the late notice.

Parents please check Pam for School Survey sent out about the Curriculum Night.
