Respectful Relationships and Berry Street

Welcome

A special welcome to the new students starting with us this year at Sacred Heart. In particular, a big 'well done' to our Prep students who are taking their first steps on their schooling adventures and to our Grade 6 students as they embark on their final primary school chapter.

We understand that returning to school can be an adjustment for many families. Our team is committed to providing a nurturing environment that fosters emotional and social growth alongside academic success. The first 10 minutes of our day is critical for setting the tone for the rest of our day, beginning with our welcome circle. Our welcome circle supports all children at Sacred Heart to feel fully seen, heard and welcomed into a space.

This creates predictable routines within the classroom to support engagement in learning and student wellbeing. This routine of forming a circle with our young people to review key values and expectations, celebrate any announcements helps to create connection and our classroom community.

Calm Club

It has been great to see Calm Club back in action this week with positive feedback from supervisng duty teachers. Lunchtime clubs help build student engagement, social skills and inclusion for all students. They support students who may struggle with lack of structure in the school playground or simply want a quiet space to rest.

INFORM AND EMPOWER PARENT SEMINAR 19/3/2025

Raising Kids in a Digital World is an onsite 90 minute seminar presented by Marty, an expert educator, and Carley, an experienced psychologist. They share evidence-based strategies as well as practical tips and up-to-date insights. This ensures our parent community is equipped with the skillset, toolset and mindset they need to be able to support their children as they navigate the online world. Please sign up using the QR code below. We encourage all our parents and carers from P-6 to attend and save the date.
