Assistant Principal's Report

Inclusion, Wellbeing & Engagement

Mr Louis Turner

It has been a fantastic start to the year at Greensborough College, with exciting initiatives, strong student engagement, and a continued focus on wellbeing and inclusion.

Our Year 7 students have made a fantastic start, settling in well and building strong connections with teachers and peers. To celebrate their transition into secondary school, we are looking forward to hosting a Welcome BBQ for families on 24 February.

Our VCE students recently attended a two-day study camp at La Trobe University, where they took part in English masterclasses, career and pathway sessions, and study skills workshops. Despite the warm weather, students embraced the experience, engaging in fun activities that strengthened peer connections and set them up for success in the year ahead.

To help keep our classrooms in great condition, we have introduced a 3:08 pm end-of-day announcement. This small but important change encourages students to tidy up their spaces and return borrowed equipment before heading home.

We are grateful to all the students for their support in maintaining a safe and productive learning environment by ensuring their laptops are fully charged before arriving at school each day. Bringing a charged device not only helps minimise classroom disruptions but also allows students to engage fully in their lessons without the need for power cords, which can create safety hazards. Thank you for your ongoing commitment to this important expectation!

We are looking forward to another great term of learning, engagement, and community connection at Greensborough College!
