Welcome Back to 2026
Welcome back to our school community! It has been wonderful to see our school come alive again as students in Years 1 to 6 returned for the new year. We are delighted to welcome 13 new families who have joined our community, thank you for choosing our school, we’re so glad you’re here.
A very special welcome goes to our newest learners, with 78 Kindergarten students starting their school journey and 40 Preschool students beginning their first experiences of learning and play. It has been a joy to see their smiles, enthusiasm and excitement as they settle in. We look forward to a fantastic year ahead, working together as a strong and connected school community.
Staff Professional Learning – Staff Development Days
Last week, all staff participated in four days of professional learning to strengthen our practice and better support every student. Training included Glasser’s Five Basic Needs and Choice Theory, focusing on student wellbeing, motivation and success, as well as brain development through NSW Health.
Staff also completed training with the Department of Education Hearing Itinerant Team to support students with hearing needs, Social and Emotional Learning (SEL), CPR, and Epilepsy Australia. This ensures our classrooms remain safe, inclusive and supportive, helping all students to thrive academically, socially and emotionally.
SEL helps students understand and manage their emotions, build positive relationships, make responsible decisions and develop resilience. This year, SEL will be a key focus across all classrooms, aligning with the new PDHPE syllabus. We look forward to sharing more about SEL with you

Community Charter Agreement
The Community Charter Agreement is an important document that outlines the shared values and expectations for behaviour within our school community. It sets the foundation for respectful and positive relationships among students, staff, and families, promoting a safe and supportive environment for everyone. While many families may already be familiar with the agreement, we encourage all community members to revisit and reflect on its principles. By working together to uphold these shared values, we strengthen our school community and create a positive space where everyone feels respected, included, and able to thrive.
For more information about the Community Charter and respectful relationships, please visit the NSW Department of Education website: https://education.nsw.gov.au/schooling/parents-and-carers/going-to-school/school-community-charter
External Providers
From next week, approved external providers will commence working on site to support students who receive NDIS funding. All external providers are required to comply with Department of Education policies and procedures, including holding appropriate documentation such as current clearances, qualifications and insurance.
External providers are welcome to attend the school site from 11:40am until the end of the school day at 3:10pm. These providers work in collaboration with the school to support student learning and wellbeing during the school day.
If your child does not receive NDIS funding but currently accesses an external provider, families may apply for exceptional circumstances through the Learning and Support Team.
Please contact the school office if you require further information.
