Student Leadership

Year 13 Students showing the way
We have spent the past few days getting to know the new Year 7 cohort of 2026. So far they have been preparing to become "learning ready" with Mr Berryman and the ICT team as well as learning how to use common communication platforms such as Microsoft Office and SIMON. It’s been great seeing them working diligently in class, socialising outside during break times and adjusting to life at Nazareth.
While we’ve had a few of our students mix up their timetable or bring the wrong things to class, it’s great to see them learning from their mistakes and displaying great resilience. We are confident the cohort will continue to grow and embrace the three pillars of Faith, Wisdom and Knowledge.

A Student Leader's first week
My experience as a leader in 2026 so far has been really rewarding and beneficial, allowing me to step up and support others in meaningful ways.
The captains, with help from the house leaders, hosted a senior breakfast, enabling us to connect with members of our cohort and create a welcoming environment to kickstart the year. Speaking at assemblies has pushed me out of my comfort zone and strengthened my confidence, communication skills, and ability to represent the school positively.
One of the most impactful parts of my role has been welcoming the new Year 7s and helping them find their way around the school, answering their eager questions, and reassuring them during such a big transition. Being a consistent, positive presence for these Year 7s has shown me how important it is to lead with empathy and patience, and it has reinforced my responsibility to act as a role model whom they can trust and look up to as they grow into the school community.
This year, I look forward to continuing to grow as a leader and supporting students across all year levels, as well as running more fun initiatives and activities to build school spirit!
