Road Safety

With our new school year underway it is a good opportunity to go over the safe road rules with our children. Please see the Key Safety Rules for Pedestrians below:
Key Safety Rules for Pedestrians in NSW
Use Designated Crossings: Always cross at pedestrian crossings (zebra crossings), traffic lights, or child crossings if available within 20 metres.
Stop, Look, Listen, Think: Stop at the curb, look right and left multiple times, listen for traffic, and only cross when it is safe.
Wait for Traffic to Stop: Never assume a vehicle will stop for you. Wait until all vehicles have stopped, even if the signal is green or it is a zebra crossing.
Remove Distractions: Avoid using mobile phones or headphones while crossing.
- Children's Safety: Children 10 years and under should hold an adult's hand when crossing.
