Message from the

Principal

Dear Families,

What a wonderful start we have had to the school year. Your children arrived ready to learn and eager to do their best. Every classroom has settled beautifully, with learning beginning immediately. We are already impressed with the data collected so far - our students have retained their learning from last year, placing them in an awesome position to engage fully in the new year.

Please continue to take the time to ask your children about their day and what they learned. Referring back to the class newsletter can help guide these conversations. I’ve always found that asking direct questions - “Are you enjoying War Horse?” or “Tell me about your whiteboard routine.” - often prompts a response.

Thank you to everyone who attended our Welcome BBQ and Information Evening. It was wonderful to see so many new and returning families. We also appreciate the families who joined us for Assembly and the Beginning-of-the-Year Mass. Our community spirit was alive and well at all of these events.

This week we look forward to our Year 3–6 Swimming Carnival on Thursday. Thank you to Mel and Trent for their organisation, to our staff for the enthusiasm they bring to the day, to our incredible SEDA students, and of course to the parents who come along to cheer on the teams. It promises to be a great day!

Next week marks the beginning of Lent. A special thank you to the parents who are organising, cooking and serving pancakes for the students on Shrove Tuesday. Please refer to our Catholic Identity page for further details about our Shrove Tuesday and Ash Wednesday liturgies

School Hours (Repeat)

Please note the schoolyard is unsupervised before 8:30 am. There are still many, many children on the grounds prior to this time.

For the safety of your children, I am asking that they are not dropped off at school before 8:30 am.
