Careers and Future Pathways

Another Busy Term in the Careers Space

Year 10 Work Experience

Our Year 10 students recently completed their work experience program, gaining valuable insights into the world beyond the classroom. This opportunity allowed them to explore a range of industries, develop practical skills and build confidence in real workplace environments. Many students discovered new interests and potential career pathways, while others strengthened their communication, teamwork and problem-solving abilities.

Students were placed across a variety of workplaces, including hair and beauty salons, events companies, local cafés, law firms and many more. Work experience is an important step in preparing young people for their futures, and we are extremely proud of the maturity and enthusiasm they demonstrated throughout the program.

Year 10 Mock Interviews

Year 10 also took part in mock interviews, an invaluable chance to practise presenting themselves professionally. With support from local organisations, students experienced what it is like to sit across from an employer, answer interview questions and articulate their skills and aspirations. The program helped build confidence, communication skills and self-awareness, while preparing students for future job applications and career opportunities.

Fashion Futures with Oriane

One of our talented Year 11 students, Oriane, recently participated in an online Fashion Styling Masterclass led by a professional stylist from Tiffany & Co. This unique experience gave Oriane firsthand insight into the world of high-end fashion, exploring styling, presentation and creative expression. Opportunities like this broaden our students’ horizons and inspire them to pursue their passions with confidence. We are incredibly proud of Oriane’s initiative and look forward to seeing how this experience shapes her future career journey.

Space Exhibition Adventures

Students from our STEM Club had an unforgettable visit to the recent Space Exhibition, where one student had the rare chance to meet a real astronaut and hear firsthand about life beyond Earth. The exhibition featured captivating displays, including a rover designed with spider-like legs that captured everyone’s imagination. The experience sparked curiosity about space exploration and inspired students to consider exciting future careers in science, technology, engineering and related fields.
