Celebrating Creative Vision

In Year 8 Media, students have been developing their photography skills through our Photography Basics unit. Working through a structured booklet, students researched and planned for their photography project. 

They learned about composition techniques such as the rule of thirds, leading lines, framing and depth of field. Using these skills, they planned, captured and edited an original photograph that communicates a specific purpose or story to a chosen audience. The results were fantastic – students produced photographs in genres such as pet/landscape/sport photography or still life, showcasing creativity and impressive technical skill. 

This project encouraged students to experiment, refine ideas and apply real-world media production skills in a hands-on and engaging way.
