KLA Feature - Year 11

As our Year 12 (2026) students prepare to embark on their final year at Caroline Chisholm College, they have recently taken part in a series of experiences designed to nurture both their academic and personal growth.

At the beginning of Term 4, students returned for one final week of classes before attending the Senior Retreat at the Benedict XVI Retreat Centre in Grose Vale. Divided into two groups, Group A attended from Monday, 20 October to Wednesday, 22 October, while Group B attended from Wednesday, 22 October to Friday, 24 October. The Senior Retreat is a deeply valued part of the College’s formation program. It provides students with time and space to pause from the busyness of daily life and reflect on their relationships with each other, their families, and with God. Through small group discussions, prayer, and shared experiences, students were encouraged to consider the people and moments that have shaped their journey so far, and to look ahead with a renewed sense of purpose as they enter their HSC year.

Complementing the spiritual focus of the retreat, students also participated in a Study Skills Session facilitated by Elevate Education. These sessions, held at the College on the day each group was not on retreat, equipped students with practical strategies for time management and exam preparation. This balance between reflection and readiness reflects our holistic approach to learning, recognising that success in the HSC is grounded in both academic discipline and personal wellbeing.

To mark their transition into their final year of schooling, each student was presented with their Year 12 cardigan, a symbol of leadership, responsibility and the shared pride that comes with entering their final stage at the College. This moment was a highlight for many, signifying both accomplishment and the exciting journey that lies ahead.

We celebrate our Year 11 students’ achievements at the Presentation Ceremony marking the completion of their Preliminary Course. This occasion acknowledges not only their academic success, but also their growth as young women of faith, integrity and resilience.

Our new Year 12 students have also had the opportunity to take part in the annual Careers High Tea, where they met and learned from distinguished Caroline Chisholm College alumni. This inspiring event invited students to explore diverse career pathways and gain insight into the experiences of past graduates who have forged successful journeys in fields such as education, medicine, sport, journalism and business. It was another meaningful opportunity for our Class of 2026 to look toward the future with confidence, curiosity and purpose.

We are proud of the maturity and spirit demonstrated by our Year 11 cohort throughout this important time and look forward to supporting them as they begin their HSC journey.
