End-of-Year Joy and Looking Ahead with Gratitude

As we move toward the end of another school year, there is a wonderful sense of both celebration and anticipation across our Primary School. This time of year marks significant milestones in our community, particularly for our Year 6 students who are preparing to graduate and conclude their primary years. We look forward to celebrating their achievements and growth through special events and ceremonies that honour their journey and the part they have played in shaping our PVCC community. As they prepare to transition into Year 7, we pray for a smooth and exciting start to secondary school for both those continuing with us at PVCC and those embarking on new adventures at other schools.

At the same time, we are delighted to welcome our 2026 Prep students and their families as they begin their own exciting learning journey with us. It is a joy to see new faces filled with curiosity and wonder as they take their first steps into school life.

The middle of Term 4 is always a vibrant and busy period in the life of our school. Last week’s Maker Day was a wonderful highlight. It was a celebration of creativity where science and art came together, allowing students to think critically, design, build, and express the unique creativity God has placed within each of them. We continue to see students using their gifts in other areas too, with music performances across the Junior School and preparations underway for our much-loved Prep Nativity. These moments remind us of the joy and hope found in the story of Jesus’ birth, the central focus of our celebrations as we approach Christmas.

In the midst of this, our staff are prayerfully planning for the year ahead, seeking God’s wisdom and guidance as we prepare for all that 2026 will bring. Yet even as we look forward, we remain intentional about finishing this year well, continuing to nurture our students academically, socially, and spiritually, and encouraging them to honour God in all they do.

Through all these events, we are reminded that education at PVCC is more than academic learning; it’s about growing in faith, character, and community. God has created us as imaginative, relational, and purposeful beings, and it is a privilege to see this expressed daily in the classroom, on the playground, and through the many special experiences that bring our school community together.

As we finish the year, may we do so with hearts of gratitude for all that has been achieved, for the joy of learning together, and for God’s continued faithfulness to our community.
