Murrup Art at BSC

Year 7 Art students were fortunate to work with Wadawurrung guest artist, Jenna Oldaker (Murrup Art), recently. Together, Jenna and our students workshopped ideas for some new artworks that will be created for the Drama Centre wall. She shared with us some of her work, including a large banner for Ballarat’s upcoming Heritage Week and football boots she designed for the Geelong Cats football team. Stay tuned to discover how Jenna takes inspiration from sketches drawn by the Year 7s to paint us some pieces that will be resized and printed on to a medium that can be attached to besser blocks. Thanks to the Year 7 Art Class and their teacher, Mrs McGregor, for being so enthusiastic about this project. Exciting times ahead!

School-based Apprenticeship

We would like to congratulate Shannon Dubignon on beginning his school-based apprenticeship with Gledfield Ag. School-based apprenticeships offer students the opportunity to step into a trade at the earliest opportunity, maximising their career potential.

Sometimes we are exposed to disturbing and/or explicit content online. This can be incredibly confronting for our young people and have a lasting impact. If you would like further information on this issue and what you can do about it, please follow the link on the next page.
