A Chat with Scot

To celebrate the conclusion of our study of novel, The Dead I Know, we invited author, Scot Gardner, to join us for our final class of Term One. Scot entertained the Middle Years English class with anecdotes from his experience as a writer and students were able to ask questions about the book and about life as an author, which Scot answered with honesty, insight and humour. We were also able to share one student’s creative response to the novel and Scot was delighted with the way Tucker Stewart interpreted a particular character (well done, Tucker!). It was a brilliant way to end both the unit and the term of English classes. We are planning to ask Scot to return next term to work with us again.
