Miss Kim Taggart

Yaama,

Last week, our First Nations Students started colouring in and learning about Dilly Bags. Dilly bags are often made from grass or roots and are weaved together to create a basket/ bag. Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people have been using Dilly bags for thousands of years to carry food such as yams, berries and sometimes even honey.

Students have been colouring in these Dilly bags in preparation for Easter. Although Easter is over, the students will continue their learning on this topic until the end of term.
