YEAR 9

WEEK 9: KEY INFORMATION

LAST WEEK:

Last week, during SEL, students began having conversations with their Pastoral Mentors with regards to their academic achievement, application, behaviour and attendance. A file has been created for each child to track their progress throughout the year. I would encourage all parents/carers to spend time having conversations with their children about goal setting based across these areas.

THIS WEEK:

ASSESSMENTS:

It is now that time of term when assessment dates are drawing nearer and it is imperative that time and energy is allocated to revision. Here are some simple study tips to support your child.

1. Hydrate, eat and sleep - Your brain is a muscle that needs hydration and rest to     function at an optimal level.

2. Time and space - Allocate a set amount of time to revision and revise in a quiet      area with the least amount of distractions.

NAPLAN SCHEDULE: YEAR 9

IMPORTANT INFORMATION:

- Coordinated Practice NAPLAN test will be held on Tuesday, 12 March.

- No individual student results will be provided from Practice test.

Students need wired earphones/headphones that work with their device      (cannot be Bluetooth).

- Students need a fully charged laptop each day (tests run for approx. 60 minutes  each).

- Any questions or concerns regarding student devices, contact IT support staff  on 4044 4231 or students can access support in C6 prior to the test days.
