SPC Mothers’ Day Mass 2024

All mothers/mother figures are invited to commemorate Mass with their son/s at our Annual SPC Mothers’ Day Mass, honouring the role of Mary in our Christian story and the significance of women in the creation and nourishment of life. We will celebrate the love and joy experienced in the special relationship between mother and son.

Please see below for specific details:

Cost:

$12 per adult (there is no cost for students) to contribute to the

cost of the venue

There is onsite parking accessed via Gate 1 on Grand Avenue and

Gate 4 on James Ruse Drive. Parking is then at P1, Members Reserve

and P3. Please allow plenty of time for travel, parking and walking

to the room, as traffic can be quite busy, and we need to start on time.

For ALL mothers/mother figures (and grandmothers of Year 12 only)

It will take place in the Garden area next to the Grand Pavilion.

Students:

No boy will be permitted to leave with their mother after the Mass. All will be bussed back to school for the remainder of the school day. Boys will need to bring their bags which will be placed in an area to be confirmed.

As you can imagine, this event takes a lot of organising and thus your RSVP is necessary.

Please note the following:

  • You must get a ticket for you and for each of your sons, including those in the Band and Choir.
  • There is no cost for each boy's ticket however, it is $12 per mother/mother figure and grandmother to offset the cost of the hire of the venue.
  • You are only to organise your own family’s tickets (as numbers per booking are limited).
  • Siblings not from the College will not be able to attend (apart from babies who do not require a seat).
  • If you book tickets for more than yourself and your son/s, we will cancel your tickets.
  • Ticketing for Year 12 grandmothers ONLY is available. Due to size no other grandmothers or extended family are able to attend. Thank-you for your understanding.
  • The RSVP (ticketing) window will be Wednesday 10 April at 4:00 PM to Friday 3 May at 4:00 PM.
  • Tickets can be booked using this link - SPC Mothers' Day Mass Booking (RSVP) Form.

The RSVP (ticketing) will close at 4:00 PM on Friday 3 May, as we need to inform the venue of numbers for the event and the morning tea. Please adhere to this deadline.

If you would like to volunteer to read or do another role at the Mass, please email gillian.daley@spc.nsw.edu.au by Wednesday 1 May. Please don’t be shy! Thank-you in advance.

We hope you have a wonderful morning with your sons on the 10th, followed by an even better day on the Sunday in your parishes and at home. God bless each of you for being a gift to your sons and the SPC community!
