Acting Principal's Message-

Donna Geritz

That’s a Wrap

Week 9 ends with many passing through the soccer goals covered in coloured chalk! What a way to finish the term, along with Open Night and an early finish.

Unfortunately, the outcome of the Principal Panel is not yet released, so this may well be my last post in COG. If it is, I would like to thank the entire College community who have made me feel so welcomed and embraced in my term at McClelland. My time with the college has been a source of stability, and I hope you have felt a sense of connection and support.

I trust that the Principal Panel will make the best decision for the college, and the successful applicant will be the one best suited to continue the excellent work already established here at McClelland. If that is not me, know I am returning to a beautiful home base I adore. I will be thankful for the opportunity I have had to learn and further develop my leadership skills and connectedness to the community.

I hope that the visible and symbolic leadership principles I hold dear continue, as I have felt a great sense of connection to staff, students, and parents by some small but powerful daily acts put in place, like the front gate visibility.

The staff at this college are pretty remarkable, and the student body is essentially composed of leadership, perseverance, and engagement in the college’s programs and values. I wish them all of the best on their educational journey.

I wish everyone a safe and happy Easter and encourage you all to take a well-earned break. Overindulge in hot cross buns and chocolate eggs, but more importantly, connect with your family and friends and make some beautiful memories.

Sincerely,

Donna
