Year 10 Feature
Congratulations to all our Year 10 students for making a great start to Senior School this year. The Urban Challenge in Week 5 was a great showcase of teamwork, where students lived up to the theme for this year “Rise up”, engaging in challenges around the Urban landscape of Sydney.
Many of our Year 10 students are already rising up to challenges: pursuing work opportunities, connecting with our Pathways Coaches to explore future career options, volunteering with Peer support, engaging in social justice activities provided by the College.
With formal assessments this year, It is important that students refer to the Year 10 Assessment Plan for important dates and the Year 10-12 Assessment Policy and Procedures. Working in partnership with their teachers there is a strong need to be organised and prepared. The School Diary is to be used as an effective tool to ensure students are prepared for their learning each day.
During this period of transition into Senior School, we are working with all students to equip them with the skills necessary to manage their learning and wellbeing. On Friday 15th March, Year 10 will complete ‘Study Skills Sessions’ to enhance their capacity to prioritise assessment tasks and gain the skills necessary to manage their learning. This session is at school and will provide students with strategies and resources to improve their study skills and organisation.
Working in partnership with you and your daughters, we can ensure that the best wellbeing and learning is achieved for all Year 10 students.
