Partnerships and Pathways

Our Lunch and Learn guest speaker series is in full swing and we recently hosted Alister Wilkinson from Professional Cadetships Australia (PCA). This valuable opportunity is for current Year 12 students with an interest in pursuing business and/or technology career paths, combining university study with paid work at companies such as Barrenjoey and UBS. Interested Year 12s and families can find out more information here. We were delighted to welcome back former College Captain, Alanah Eisenhuth, as part of our International Women’s Week celebrations, who spoke with a keen audience about her pathway into STEM. Alanah is an Infectious Diseases Honours student at the University of Sydney where she is working on methods to overcome antibiotic resistance - and she generously shared her insights and experiences related to this year’s IWD theme. Alanah’s messages inspired and captivated the audience, sharing her advice and experiences, and how she’s followed her passion in her STEM career with the aspiration to make ground-breaking discoveries that improve patient outcomes. Thank you Alanah for generously sharing your insights!

Next week we are excited to launch the first of our Pathways and Careers lessons in Wellbeing classes, which will feature resources from partners Beyond and Ponder (Study Work Grow). In this pastoral lesson, teachers will be introducing students to tools and quizzes to help them discern their strengths, interests and career aspirations. The websites for Beyond and Ponder are free for students and are accessible via our Careers Canvas page. However, to ensure a seamless entry point to the Beyond website and Wellbeing lesson, students should enrol via the link that has been emailed to them this week, from Beyond.
