Principal's Message

Lord,

the resurrection of Your Son has given us new life and renewed hope,

Help us to live as new people in pursuit of living our faith.

Grant us wisdom to know what we must do,

the will to want to do it,

the courage to undertake it,

the perseverance to continue to do it,

and the strength to complete it.

Term 2 - School Closure Days

ANZAC Day Public Holiday - Thursday 25th April

Friday  26 April (Staff Time in Lieu Day)

Monday 27th May - Professional Development

Dear Families,

We welcome everyone back for Term 2 and hope that no matter where you went or what you did over the 2 week break you had an enjoyable time. It has been wonderful to see so many smiling faces coming into school in the morning. We have a busy term ahead with many things to look forward to such as the Year 5/6 Camp to Camp Arrabri from the 6th- 8th May, a whole school Mother’s day celebration on the morning of the 10th May and the celebration of the Sacrament of First Eucharist for students in Year 4, just to name a few.

Unfortunately Paul has had a bit of a hiccup with his recovery from hip surgery and his return to school for Term 2 has been delayed. He is on the mend but requiring additional time to heal and recuperate. We send him our well wishes and look forward to welcoming him back when he is able to return.

One of our wonderful Prep teacher’s, Holly Capomolla, will celebrate her wedding on Friday 19th April with her fiance Liam. We wish her every joy and happiness as she embarks on the journey of marriage. We hope they have a wonderful day with friends and family marking this special occasion. Congratulations Holly and Liam!

On Friday this week we have the Parent Helper’s session, run by Emma Strom. At St Andrew’s we strongly value the active role families play as Classroom Helpers. If you wish to volunteer your time in your child’s/children's classroom, please join us for the Parent Helper session this Friday 19th April from 9am-10am. If you have already completed the course there is no need to attend again but you are welcome to come for a refresher session if you wish.

We would recommend that parents make a regular visit to the school website to see updates on all school events.
