Athletics Carnival

Holding an athletics carnival in August can be a hit or miss affair with the weather but we were blessed with a fine day for our 2023 event.  With almost 400 students ranging from Foundation to Year 11 in attendance there was activity immersed in a sea of colour everywhere that you looked. Student participation was the best yet, especially with the dressing up, and this led to some very keen competitiveness particularly in the relays and high jump. At the completion of the day Majella ran (pun intended) out winners over Cooper by 18 points, followed by Montessori and Charles.  Based on the results for the day we can now look forward to having over 50 individual competitors back at McEwen Reserve on September 1 for the GMDSSSA carnival, by far our biggest representation to date!

AFLW Auskick
