College Principal Report

Term 3 draws to a close

As always I would like to thank the parents and carers of our students for the support they have given their children this term. While it has been great to have had another uninterrupted term we know there are challenges for our students in managing with the workload and I congratulate them all with having done the best they could.  I wish you all a safe and enjoyable holiday and look forward to seeing the students back on site on Monday 2nd October

2023 Parent / Caregiver / Guardian Opinion Survey

Our school is conducting a survey to find out what parents / caregivers / guardians think of our school. The Parent / Caregiver / Guardian Opinion Survey is an annual survey offered by the Department of Education that is designed to assist schools in gaining an understanding of families’ perceptions of school climate, student behaviour, and student engagement. The survey is optional but we encourage all families to participate. Our school will use the survey results to help inform and direct future school planning and improvement strategies.

The survey will be conducted online, only takes 20 minutes to complete, and can be accessed at any convenient time within the survey period on desktop computers, laptops, tablets or smartphones. The online survey will be available in English and 10 other languages including Arabic, Greek, Hakha Chin, Hindi, Japanese, Punjabi, Simplified Chinese, Somali, Turkish, and Vietnamese.

Survey links and details have been sent to parents.

Selection Process for the new College Principal

As you are aware I announced at the June College Council Meeting that I will be retiring at the end of this year. The process to select a new college principal has begun and is being overseen by the school's Senior Education Improvement Leader Mr Kenneth Robinson. The school is currently going through the process of nominating a representative of staff to be on the selection panel. The process is expected to take around six weeks to complete.
