Wellbeing

Every Day Counts

The single most important part of your child’s education is to attend school everyday.

It gives them the opportunity to learn with their peers, make friends and develop stronger relationships and interact with a variety of different people extending their social skills.

Students learn new things at school every single day.

Why is it important?

Each day we build the building blocks for success.

Students learn and grow developing their skills independently, cooperatively with groups and collectively with their class. These building blocks are the foundation of a great education.

It is important to develop good habits, habits for success in life:

  • going to school is a commitment
  • being on time is essential
  • remaining at school so every minute counts is vital
  • being prepared and ready for learning with a good frame of mind

Missing school has a huge impact educationally and socially.

There is no safe number of days to miss school, every single day counts. A day missed is learning missed.

Talk positively about school and have open communication with your teacher.

Avoid making routine medical or dental appointments during school hours or planning family holidays during term time.

Seek help if you need, we want to help and support student wellbeing.
