Upcoming Learning:

During the last week of Term 3, we focused on;

Subject	Learning Focus
Reading	To watch and respond to a visual text (Rabbit Proof Fence).
Writing	To publish writing pieces created this term.
Maths	To use the flip, slide and turn transformation to continue, describe and create patterns.
Civics & Citizenship	To present our understanding of the first Australians and significant events in Australia's history.
Social & Emotional Learning	To work as a team and show respect to our peers inside and outside the classroom.

Inquiry - Australia's history

To celebrate the end of our Inquiry topic, which focused on events that shaped Australia's past, students had the opportunity to demonstrate their understanding of concepts explored this term. We are proud of the creativity and enthusiasm students showed towards this task.

R U OK?

Year 5 enjoyed participating in R U OK? day activities. We have decided to track our wellbeing each school day by using the "Big 5 check in" located in our student diaries. Students enjoyed some yummy popcorn and are encouraged to give their R U OK? cup a second life at home. Images of creative ways to recycle the cups are welcome!

Term 4

We look forward to welcoming everyone back after the holidays, including Mrs Ewing (5C)! Term 4 will be a busy one! Please remember that as a Sun Smart school, all students are required to wear a hat in Term 4, so please make sure students bring their labelled hat on the first day back!

The Year 5 multiplication challenge will continue next term, so keep practising!
