Sacred Heart Kew Men's Lunch

Last Friday our Sacred Heart Kew men enjoyed lunch together down at The Glenferrie Hotel in Hawthorn. The Special Guest this year was the one and only, Andy Lee. Thanks to Andy for giving up his time for the benefit of Sacred Heart Kew. The event was once again very well attended, many thanks to all those who could join us for lunch and a few stories.

I would like to thank the following people who played a HUGE part in organising and supporting this event. Thank you in particular to Sarah Kennedy for all her coordination and organisation of the BIG day. Thanks to Jai De Stefanis for helping Sarah on the day. Thanks also to the Men’s Lunch Committee, Justin Grant, Ben Spoor and Mick Horgan for all their efforts, Justin was once again a fabulous MC, with Mick a wonderful host of the Q&A session with Andy. I also acknowledge and thank Damian O'Sullivan, our resident auctioneer, who once again, managed to coax the buyers out from under their shells. Thanks also to Dayson and the team at The Glenferrie Hotel. What a great venue, what great memories! I would also like to thank all our families who very generously donated auction items and prizes for the raffle.

Sacred Heart Meals Service

What is the meals service:

The Sacred Heart Meals Service is available to all Sacred Heart families that require some practical help in the form of meals at a time of need. This may be due to a very happy occasion such as a new birth in the family, or in more difficult circumstances such as a death or illness in a family.

How does it work:

The Meals Service Coordinators can be contacted by a teacher, class rep, member of the Parents Association, a friend within the school or the family members themselves. The coordinators would then contact the family to chat about what would be helpful (e.g. how often, favourite meals, dietary requirements etc) and then coordinate the service, requesting assistance from the relevant year level.

It’s important to note that we are very careful in being discreet at all times and maintaining confidentiality, ensuring the family are happy with what information (if any) is passed on to those we are asking to assist.

We can be contacted via the following methods:

Amy McIvor

Ph 0411 034 463

amymcivor@yahoo.com.au

Caroline O’Sullivan

Please feel free to reach out to either of us with any questions, we are here to help!

Kind regards,
