Fire Education

Today, our Preps had their first visit by Firefighters from the Hawthorn Fire Station. The lesson focused on the following topics:

• Good fires and bad fires
• Crawl Low in Smoke
• Safe Meeting Place at school and home
• What is an Emergency? 000 (Triple Zero)

The Firefighters will return in Term 4 and work with the students to:

• revise Firefighter First Visit concepts
• observe and discuss Safe Meeting Places at school and home
• introduce the concept: Stop Drop Cover Roll (what to do if your clothes catch fire)
• visit the fire truck
