School News
End of Term 3
Next Friday is the end of Term 3. School finishes at 12:45pm for students. A reminder that our Year 6 students will lead some footy activities for all children on this day, with casual clothes (ideally footy colours) to be worn and a gold coin donation brought in, going towards the East Central Zone Principal Network fundraising for St Therese's Church on Bathurst Island. There will be a Footy Colours Parade on the Basketball Court at 9am. Families are invited to attend. Many thanks in advance for your support of our fundraising efforts.
Term 4 commences Monday 2 October.
Transition to School Uniform in Term Four
For the first two weeks of Term Four students will have the choice to wear either full winter or full summer uniform depending on the weather. From Monday 16th October all students are required to wear full summer uniform.
Please note that from the first day of Term Four all students are required to wear the school hat when playing outside. We encourage students to apply sunscreen before they come to school and have it in their bag so that they can re-apply throughout the day.
Scholastic Book Fair
A huge thank you to all students and families who bought books and other items from the Book Fair. We sold $4748.00 worth of Book Fair items which will contribute to purchasing resources from Scholastic for our school. We thank you for your support.
Father's Day Events
Thank you to the Parents' Association for organising our Father's Day stall and Morning Tea last week. The children thoroughly enjoyed the shopping experience and the opportunity to choose the perfect gift for their dad or special men in their lives. It was also beautiful to have our father's and special men be able to make it into our classrooms on Thursday morning. Thanks to those Dad's who were able to stay on for a chat and Morning Tea afterwards.
District Athletics Day
Congratulations to the following students who represented Sacred Heart in the North Balwyn District Athletics Carnival at Tom Kelly Athletics Track on Monday 4 September.

Melbourne Archdiocese Catholic Schools – School Improvement Surveys (MACSSIS)
Thank you to the families who have completed the Melbourne Archdiocese Catholic Schools-School Improvement Surveys (MACSSIS) that were emailed on Monday 28 August. We would greatly appreciate more family responses.
One of the main goals of the family survey is to identify the strengths and areas for improvement in our school. MACSSIS data benefits everyone within our school and provides valuable community insights on areas that each school can focus on. Our school believes it is important to encourage families to have a voice and contribute to shaping the ongoing improvement of the school.
The survey will be closing next Friday 15 September.
To complete the survey, please access this link: www.orima.com.au/macsfamily
In the search box under School Name, you must type our school’s name followed by the suburb before the portal will recognise and display the relevant school.
Your family’s personal identification number (PIN) for completing the survey was in the body of the email sent on Monday 28 August.
If you have any questions or comments, please do not hesitate to contact ORIMA Research on 1800 654 585 or macssis@orima.com, or Melbourne Archdiocese Catholic Schools (MACS) on macssis@macs.vic.edu.au.
