There is still time to complete the Parent/Caregiver survey to help us identify areas of strength and opportunities for improvement for our school. The survey only takes 20 minutes to complete and is open until Friday 30th of August.
You will have received information via Compass about how to log in to the survey.
If you need any help to complete the survey, please contact your child's teacher or the front office. We will re-send the link and log in details today.
We have been recently updating our school Emergency Management Plan. This outlines all of our emergency processes and procedures.
As part of our planning for emergency situations, we complete a practice drill each term.
This morning we had a Shelter in Place practice drill. Shelter in Place would be used in the event of an unsafe person or situation where there is a risk of harm to students and staff.
During the Shelter in Place, music plays and students move to the nearest classroom or remain in their own classroom and continue with quiet activities. External doors are locked and classrooms notify the office that all students and staff are accounted for.
It is important to practise these procedures so that both students and staff are familiar with the steps and know what to do. The practise today went very smoothly and students were settled and happy.
There has been a lot of information in the media this past week about the changing legislation around the NDIS. As this develops we will have a clearer understanding of what this might look like for NDIS participants. If you have any questions or need support with accessing the NDIS for your child, please make a time to meet with Libby, our NDIS Navigator. Libby is at Croydon SDS on Mondays and Thursdays. You can find out more from Libby by reading her page in our newsletters.
