From the Principal
Dear Parents and Caregivers,
I hope that the term has been a positive one for you and your family. It is hard to believe we are already half way through Term 3.
Frozen JR
I am thrilled to announce that our highly anticipated College Production, Frozen Jr, is just around the corner! Our talented students have been working tirelessly to bring this magical story to life, and I know it will be a performance to remember. The Production will take place at the Kyabram Plaza Theatre on Thursday 22 August and Friday 23 August. Tickets are available for purchase, and I encourage you to secure your seats early as they are selling fast. This is a fantastic opportunity to support our students and enjoy a night of entertainment with family and friends. Purchase tickets here.
Subject Teacher Conversations
As previously communicated, our upcoming Subject Teacher Conversations are scheduled for Monday 26 August. These conversations are an excellent opportunity to meet with your child's TA (Teacher Advisor) and Subject Teachers to discuss their progress this term. I encourage you to take advantage of this chance to engage in meaningful discussions about your child's learning journey, celebrate their successes, and explore ways to support their continued growth. Your involvement plays a crucial role in their educational experience, and we look forward to partnering with you during these conversations.
Bishop Joseph Grech Youth Scholarship
Earlier this week, I had the pleasure of joining Charli (Year 10) and Guneet (Year 10) in celebrating their outstanding achievement of being awarded the Bishop Joseph Grech Scholarship. This prestigious scholarship recognises exceptional young people in Sandhurst Secondary Schools who contribute significantly to the life of their colleges through their commitment to faith and social justice. Charli and Guneet have both demonstrated remarkable dedication to these values, and their recognition is well-deserved. We are incredibly proud of their accomplishments and the positive impact they have made within our College community.
Staffing Announcement
It is with mixed emotions that I inform you of the appointment of Erin Emmett as the new Leader of Learning and Teaching at St Patrick's Tongala.
Erin has been a valued staff member at St Augustine's College for the past 13 years, contributing greatly to the Learning and Teaching of our Foundation to Year 4 students. Her dedication, passion, and expertise have had a profound impact on our College community, and her commitment to fostering a nurturing and inspiring learning environment has left an indelible mark on the lives of both students and colleagues.
While we are saddened to see Erin leave St Augustine's College, we send her off with our deepest gratitude for her years of service and our blessings for her future endeavours. We are confident that Erin will bring the same level of excellence and dedication to her new role at St Patrick's Tongala, and we look forward to witnessing her continued success.
Please join me in congratulating Erin on this well-deserved opportunity and in wishing her all the best in her new role.
