Book Week

We celebrated Book Week at St Louis this week in lots of different ways and it was great to see the enthusiasm of both our staff and our students. I hope your family found some extra time for reading this week.

Lots of book characters were found around the school and it was great to see students working collaboratively to find them all!  There were some great debates about the names of different characters and which books they were from.

Some fantastic entries were submitted for our Book Week Colouring and Poster Design Competitions and it is going to be a difficult task choosing winners.  Last chance to enter is Monday so it is not too late, and we look forward to sharing some of the entries in the next Newsletter.

On Thursday, a fabulous group of Year 6 students visited Aspendale North Kinder to share stories with the younger students.  Our students represented the school proudly and were very enthusiastic about reading to and playing with their new kinder friends.  By all reports the kinder students loved it too! We were able to promote and share a love of reading and had lots of fun whilst doing it.

Book Week may be over for another year but anytime is a good time to share a great story and foster a love of reading in your child. May your next reading adventure be a great one!
