We recently celebrated a huge milestone—100 Days of Prep at CNPS! Seeing how far our students have come since the beginning of the year is heartwarming. They’ve grown in confidence, curiosity, and kindness, and this special day was a wonderful opportunity to celebrate all their hard work. The students enjoyed a week full of fun activities, including counting to 100, acknowledging 100 significant people in our lives, creating special 100-themed art projects, writing 100 thank you messages for the teachers to show gratitude and sharing what they love most about being in Prep. It was a day filled with joy, and the students truly embraced the spirit of the celebration.
Our recent excursion to the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra was a magical experience that brought the world of performing arts to life for our young learners. The highlight of the visit was the enchanting performance of "Peter and the Wolf". The children were captivated by the story, brought to life by the orchestra’s beautiful music and the dramatic narration. A different instrument represented each character in the story, and the students were fascinated to see how the music told the story. They learned about different musical instruments, listened to live performances, and even had the chance to see the musicians in action. It was a fantastic opportunity for our students to connect with the arts and experience the wonders of music in a real-world setting. Their excitement and curiosity were evident throughout the day, and it was a delight to witness their awe and appreciation for the arts.
Lastly, our Book Week assembly was a spectacular celebration of our love for reading! The students put in an immense effort in dressing up as their favourite book characters, we were so impressed by the creativity and enthusiasm they showed. From Wednesday from the Addams family to superheroes, princesses and animals, the variety of costumes was simply amazing. Each student had the chance to showcase their character during our assembly, and it was wonderful to see them so engaged and excited. The assembly not only celebrated our favourite stories but also fostered a deeper love for reading and storytelling among our students.
