Youth Alive Visit

On August 16 we had the Youth Alive Schools Tour visit MECS to entertain, encourage and exalt Jesus to our students. There was a sausage sizzle, an artist rapper called K-WAK, and a fantastic atmosphere. It was so good to see the students engaging with what was happening, chatting about faith, having a dance, and focusing on God.

Youth Alive is a non-denominational Christian organization that runs large scale events to bring youth groups together, and provide great invitational opportunities, so young Christians can see their friends come to know the love of Jesus. After visiting schools throughout the week, the main event was held at the Exhibition Building, seeing over 1000 youth give their hearts and lives to Jesus. Close to 200 of our MECS Secondary students were at this event and had an awesome time worshipping Jesus.
