Prep

The Year Six Buddies organised several activities and games for the Preps to enjoy. They did a fantastic job encouraging the Preps to be risk-takers as they navigated the obstacles. Everyone enjoyed a short break sitting in the shade and listening to the stories before completing the last games.

Maths 

In Maths, the students counted small collections of objects using one-to-one correspondence, saying each number in the forward number sequence. They also represented 0-10 on a ten-frame, correctly ordered numerals from 0-10 and created collections of objects to represent the quantity of each numeral. 

Literacy 

In preparation for writing, the Preps drew a mind map of themselves and three things they like to do. Then they wrote a sentence using the information from the mind map and the sentence starter 'I like...'. 

Inquiry

Students used their puppets to role-play and respond to situations involving conflict with friends on the playground.  They discussed various strategies they can use to resolve situations at school or in other settings. They practiced respectful listening skills and taking turns.
