Term 1 Wrap Up
What a magical Term 1 it has been in the Library! We’re thrilled to share that a massive 3390 individual book loans have taken place this term – that’s thousands of stories shared, minds inspired, and imaginations ignited. 📖✨
Our Top Borrowing Class this term has truly led the charge, showing a love of reading that is nothing short of inspiring! (Drumroll please… 🥁 3C with 242 loans – your reading game is strong!)
A huge thank you also goes out to our wonderful school community for supporting our Scholastic Book Fair. Thanks to your enthusiastic involvement, we raised over $1800 (30%) in rewards that will go directly toward purchasing new books and resources for our Library. That means more great reads and exciting adventures for our students!
Looking ahead to Term 2, we can’t wait to celebrate National Simultaneous Storytime on Tuesday, 21 May (Week 4). This year’s story is the heart-warming The Truck Cat by Deborah Frenkel. We can’t wait to read it together – Australia-wide – at the same time! 🚛🐱📚
A friendly reminder to all families: the Premier’s Reading Challenge (PRC) is underway! Keep logging those books at:
- K–2 students will be supported in completing the challenge with their classroom teachers and Library staff.
- Students in Years 3–6 will need to log their own books online.
- All students can include books they read independently, with someone, or books read to them. Every book counts!
Thanks for a fantastic start to the year – here’s to more reading, discovery, and fun in Term 2!
3C - The highest borrowing class in the school! Congratulations!
