Responsible Pet

Ownership K/1B

To foster a safe and rewarding relationship between children and pets, the NSW Government Responsible Pet Ownership program provides pet safety education to children.  Educating children ensures the child-pet relationship is not only physically and emotionally rewarding, but also safe.   Our students in K/1B have been working on responsible pet ownership and we will have Annette from the Responsible Pet Ownership Program coming to speak with the children tomorrow on Responsible Pet Ownership and give them first-hand experience with her pet dog Emalee the Dachshund.

Joshua Katz will be connecting with students on Tuesday, 8th April as part of Olympics Unleashed.

The students will learn from Joshua Katz's Olympic journey how to build resilience, the importance of setting goals and how to find what you are passionate about.

Students will hear firsthand from Joshua Katz about how they overcame challenges to compete in their chosen sport at the very highest level, and how some lessons they’ve learned in sport can help students to be the best they can be – whether that’s in school, at home, on the sporting field or with friends.

As part of our creative and performing arts (CAPA) activities, we have nominated our whole school to take part in the Tamworth - Creative Arts in Public Education Regional ASpectacular (CAPERS) to be held at the TRECC in Term 4.  A note was sent home last week outlining the part of the outfit we require you to purchase for the performance.  Below is a photo of the costume that is required.  If you have any queries with regards to the performance or costume please do not hesitate to contact the School Office on 6768 7065.
